I soon discovered that walking to the beach, which is easially done even with small children, was the same walk I would take from the parking lot to the beach in my home town. That is when I realized just how close the house was to the water. We constantlly walk back and fourth to the beach, for snacks and bathroom breaks or just to take a break from the sun. My kids are now 11 and 14 and they are always running to and from the beach. If you walk at a leasurally pace it should take you about 3 minuites
